Aer Arann Welcomes New and Returning Crew as Operations Grow
Wednesday 12th May: It was a time to celebrate in Aer Arann recently as the airline welcomed new and returning employees to its team.
The airline held a dedicated ceremony presenting new cabin crew with their Wings, marking the completion of their training. In addition, the company also used the occasion to mark the promotion of several First Officers to Captains and to welcome back a group of First Officers who had previously worked with Aer Arann but are now returning as the airline expands its services once more.
As well as the recent launch of Aer Lingus Regional which is operated by Aer Arann crew and aircraft, the airline has also re-introduced its Kerry-Manchester service which will begin operating on May 20th.
In addition, on May 30th Aer Arann launches its summer schedule with twice weekly flights to Lorient from Waterford and Galway.
On that date the airline will also add increased frequency on flights to London Luton from Waterford, and increase its domestic Waterford-Galway service from two days per week to six days per week offering improved connectivity between the south east and west of Ireland.
Speaking at the ceremony, Aer Arann chief executive Paul Schütz said “We are delighted to welcome both new and returning crew to our team. It is a positive indication of growth for Aer Arann at a time of continuing difficulties for airlines, both as a result of the current economy and the situation with the Icelandic volcano that we are experiencing at present.
We look forward to getting to know the new members of our team as we plan for the future and the continuing growth of the airline” he added.
